In a Sunday Styles cover story, the New York Times called them “the architects of the new Washington.” GQ magazine named Barbara and Jayne to its “50 Most Powerful People in Washington” list. The Washington Business Journal selected the two partners as “Women Who Mean Business” and included them in their “Power 100 List.”

Barbara and Jayne also co-founded District Sample Sale, Washington’s most fashionable charitable event, which to date has raised over $290,000 for women’s and children’s charities across the region.

Barbara Martin, Principal

Barbara leads the public relations division of BrandLinkDC. Her 20-year media career began as a magazine editor, then moved to marketing, where she served as a corporate marketing director for Nielsen Business Media, managing the public relations, marketing and advertising strategies in the business to business sector. In 2007, she founded public relations firm BdMedia before partnering to form BrandLinkDC.

Jayne Sandman, Principal

Jayne leads the events and marketing division of BrandLinkDC. In 2011, Jayne was selected by BizBash magazine as one of the top event innovators in the country. Prior to forming BrandLinkDC, Jayne managed the marketing, promotions, press and events for Capitol File magazine, a Niche Media publication. Earlier, Jayne drove the successful editorial and artistic re-launch of Washington Flyer magazine, and began her career as Marketing Director for Washington Life magazine.
