Business Development

Business Development Director (NYC)

BrandLinkDC is hiring a Business Development Director to join our growing team and to help maximize the rising interest in BrandLinkDC’s unique approach and successful agency model. This is not a traditional sales job, as we are not a traditional agency. We are looking for someone who is obsessed with creating long-term meaningful client relationships and not just hitting short-term sales goals.

The Biz Dev Director will oversee business development initiatives from the opportunity phase through the contract phase. The Biz Dev Director will work closely with the VP of Marketing and Co-CEO to develop strategy, create proposals and maintain communications with prospective clients. The Biz Dev Director will be given quotas and new client acquisition targets, and will work closely with internal teams from each department to craft customized proposals and improve outreach strategy. This candidate will be required to develop a deep understanding of BrandLink’s core values and mission in order to identify the ideal new business targets.

– Work closely with internal teams to identify, cultivate, pursue, negotiate and close new opportunities who fit our ideal client profile
– Research targeted markets and potential opportunities
– Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate key targets to identify needs, educate, and influence decisions
– Develop and deliver custom proposals and presentations
– Work with internal teams to pull strategic accounts forward
– Achieve goals within targeted companies and accurately forecast and maintain records of new business efforts

– Bachelor’s degree
– 7+ years of sales and/or marketing experience with a preferred focus on consumer products
– Proven client relationship management experience, including experience building a pipeline and the ability to formalize relationships with executives and entrepreneurs at all levels
– A track record of success in building relationships and networks at all levels, not just meeting sales goals
– Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
– An entrepreneurial spirit and highly self-driven sense of motivation
– Willingness to travel, as needed

Public Relations

Public Relations Director (Washington, DC/NYC)

BrandLinkDC is looking for a talented storyteller to join our public relations team. Someone who loves the constantly exciting pace of agency life. A voracious reader whose curiosity never subsides, who is equal parts left brain and right. One who constantly looks for the story like a journalist and the hook like a marketer. Sound familiar? Then this could be the perfect place for you.

We’re looking for a candidate with 7+ years of public relations agency experience developing and executing public relations strategies for national accounts. Reporting to the VP of Public Relations, this role requires a PR pro that can manage a team as well as a portfolio of high-profile accounts. Someone who can sniff out the big stories, cultivate client relationships, and comes with a wealth of longstanding editorial relationships.

– Provide strategic public relations counsel to leaders in real estate, hospitality and consumer lifestyle segments
– Develop and establish a good working relationship with clients and interact with them via in person, phone and/or email meetings to ensure all clients are kept informed of new developments and progress
– Proactively identify, create, pitch and follow up on media opportunities to garner national and regional earned media coverage that meets client goals
– Create communications materials including brand strategies, press releases and media messages
– Analyze, measure and report on communications and media projects

Minimum Qualifications:

– 7+ years of public relations agency experience developing and executing public relations strategies for national accounts
– Ability to provide essential support for press initiatives including media and client management, and strategy development
– Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Must be creative thinker with strong decision making skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
– Ability to work in high-intensity environments, and thrive in fast-paced and deadline oriented environments
– Proven relationships with existing media contacts in national and regional markets
– Proficient in using MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint


Senior Marketing Manager (Washington, DC)

BrandLinkDC seeks a marketing professional with 6-12 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with a track-record and a passion for helping grow businesses through traditional and non-traditional marketing tactics. Someone who is a problem solver who can own our clients’ challenges and produce solutions that drive results.

Ability to develop of strategic roadmaps and annual plans
Conceptualize, develop and execute exciting results-driven integrated marketing campaigns
Manage multiple projects from conception to completion by working closely with team members and management
Produce and manage timelines, project challenges and ensure deadline and budget adherence
Leader within the office with an eye towards positive company culture
Overall Account Management
Seamless ability to work across departments within BLDC
Take on role as key client contact to foster a positive client-agency relationship
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships with outside partners and assist clients with external sponsorships and partnerships

Extensive knowledge of current events, industry new and trends to effectively communicate big ideas and trends to clients
Aids in new business process including idea contribution, research and proposal preparation

– B.S/B.A in Marketing, Communications or related field
– 6-12 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, event planning experience strongly preferred
– Highly resourceful, proactive and creative problem solver with ability to work in multi-faceted, fast paced environment
– Show strong initiative with ability to self manage and organize daily tasks and long term planning


Events Director (Washington, DC)

BrandLinkDC is searching for a Director of Events to join our team. This candidate will have 7+ years of experience managing the planning, production and execution of events. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with creative eye and strategic mind. The Director of Events will report to the VP of Events and assist with managing the events team. They will be an integral part of the agency and must be a strategic thinker that is able to collaborate with teams in other disciplines (marketing, PR, social media and finance).

This position will manage multiple events of varying size and scope for BrandLinkDC’s roster of high-profile clients. They will create and execute event plans, manage overall budgets, maintain excellent client relationships, manage vendor relations and oversee on-site execution. The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful and a self-starter who can shine in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This candidate must have a great attitude and bring positive, creative energy to the team.

– Creatively develop and execute signature events including logistics, budget management, on-site coordination, vendor management and post event analysis and reporting
– Assist event managers to ensure budgets are updated and accurate on an ongoing basis
– Work with teams across functions to ensure that the event team is aligned with overall client efforts
– Manage and mentor event team to uncover new opportunities for growth and provide feedback
– Able to establish a great working relationship with clients, building trust with key stakeholders to stay informed of overall client satisfaction and business changes/developments
– Identify and understand audience development as applicable to client and event needs
– Identify, select, negotiate and oversee contracts with vendors

– 7+ years event management experience with hands on experience producing multi-faceted events, 3+ years managing a team and previous experience working with third party clients
– Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with various clients, vendors and event staff personnel
– Creative but strategic thinker with strong decision making skills and an analytical eye
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
– Ability to thrive in high-intensity, fast-paced and deadline oriented environments
– Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint; experience in SocialTables and/or Photoshop a plus
– Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
– Ability to work nights and weekends when required
– 5+ years experience in marketing, forecasting, budget management and planning and executing large-scale, high-quality events. Meeting Planner (CMP) credentials a plus.


Our internships provide invaluable hands-on experience in the field, with interns working with our event and publicity teams on the creation of campaigns and event concepts all the way through to implementation. Internships are unpaid and a minimum of 16 hours per week. Interns must have their own laptops, and must be available to assist with events (evenings/weekends). Internships are offered in the following departments:
